• Kristina's is a Corydon institution that serves up delectable Greek food to its loyal fanbase - and yes, to new patrons too! Another great Greek option is Niko's, situated in the street's unassuming strip mall.
• Of course Little Italy wouldn't be what it is today without a handful of amazing Italian restaurants. Sit on the picturesque patio at Colosseo Ristorante Italiano or try some of Winnipeg's best pizza at Tommy's Pizzeria (owned and operated by an award-winning chef).
• The Frenchway Cafe and Cocoabeans Gluten Free: Bakeshop, Cafe & Restaurant are both fantastic spots for lunch or for a baked good - with Cocoabeans being one of the few places in Winnipeg where you can enjoy a fully gluten-free menu. And speaking of bakeries...you can't overlook the quaint Pennyloaf Bakery for freshly baked croissants, scones, baguette and more.

• Insider secret: Heading to a nearby park for a picnic? Wako Sushi has some of the most affordable and tastiest sushi in the city. It's a takeout favourite!

• If you like to fill your home with beautiful seasonal arrangements, stop into Academy Florist (which, funny enough, is on Corydon and not Academy). The business is allowing one person in at a time, so knock when you arrive.
• Shop for a variety of soaps, eco-friendly products locally made goods and more at Little Tree Hugger Bath & Body Boutique and at Humboldt's Legacy, which is North America's oldest sustainable economy neighbourhood store.
• Imagine that you're in France at The Cheesemongers Fromagerie, where you can pick up a small selection of specialty groceries and, of course, cheese.
• Find a one-of-a-kind treasure at Abbey Antiques or at Things Supporting the RWB (which, as it clearly states, helps to fund the Royal Winnipeg Ballet).

• Visit an old-fashioned book shop at the Whodunit Bookshop - which has both new and used selections.
